Guya

A beautifully vibrant satin scrunchie. Guya translates to Fish in Butchulla/Badtjala which is an important and large food resource for many. Hunting and gathering from the land the Butchulla people of K’Gari (otherwise known as Fraser Island) knew which guya was plentiful and good for eating at certain times by listening and understanding the signs from Mother Nature and connection to Country.
