Melding tradition with contemporary design this artwork is centered around a dhari, standing as a symbol of Zenadth Kes (Torres Strait Islander) culture, tradition and continuity, a link between the past and present.

Against a deep green backdrop, the foreground elements come alive in a flowing medley. Detailed lines dance across the artwork paying homage to traditional craftsmanship that has transcended generations - each line whispering stories past and present, intertwining the rich tapestry of culture. Amidst the flowing lines, instruments emerge as a testament to their role in the narrative. The kulap, lumut and warup give rise to melodies that dance through time, connecting past and present in a rhythmic embrace as the singers and dancers find their essence singing language in harmony resulting in a symphony that encapsulates not just sound but intangible heritage.

Printed on 310gsm museum grade smooth cotton rag (paper) using Epson Ultra Chrome Pro inks.
